Are you ready for the 2025/2026 basketball season? The Athens Tip-off Club is the place to be.
The Tip-off Club was established by a group of former players and loyal basketball supporters, to help support both men and women’s basketball. While we have been given the blessing from the athletic department to exist, the club will operate as a nonprofit 501c3. It will be separate and distinct from the athletic department and will be run by the board of directors which consists of Teresa Edwards, James Banks, Derrick Floyd, Jody Patton, Judge Lawton Stephens, Judge Steve Jones, Brett Grayson, Billy Healan, Litterial Green, Jay Hixon, and Billy Olson.
In the first year, we will have 4 meetings and two tailgates at Stegeman Coliseum. Meetings will consist of dinner, drinks, speakers, and fellowship around UGA basketball.

TipOff Club Members,
First, I would like to thank everyone who attended the tailgate at the Steg for the Alabama game. We had a great turnout with many former players attending.
I am sure you are all aware that tomorrow is the start of college basketball season. I thought it would be a good time to update everyone on some upcoming events during the season.
NOVEMBER 14TH (FRIDAY) DOMINIQUE WILKINS WILL BE OUR GUEST SPEAKER AT OUR SEASON OPENING EVENT. The event will be held at Dooley’s Bar and Grill in downtown Athens from 6:00 to 7:45. We have rented out the upstairs bar area. Then we will all head over to the Steg for tip-off against GA TECH at 9pm. It’s going to be a great night.
NOVEMBER 15TH (SATURDAY) TAILGATE AT THE STEG FOR UGA VS. TEXAS. Just like our last tailgate we will be located right outside the Steg near GATE H. Food, drinks, DJ, basketball goal and good times. Even if you have another tailgate to attend please stop by and say hello.
JANUARY 17TH (SATURDAY) MEETING AT THE GEORGIA CENTER PRIOR TO THE ARKANSAS GAME AT 4P.M. We will be having a get together across the street from the Steg at the GA Center from 1pm.-3pm, Guest speaker-TBD
FEBRUARY 21ST (SATURDAY) MEETING AT THE GEORGIA CENTER PRIOR TO THE TEXAS GAME AT 3:30 P.M. We will be having a get together across the street from the Steg at the GA Center from 12:30pm.-2:30pm, Guest speaker-TBD
We are discussing some other events during the season and will keep everyone updated.
